Disney’s THE LION KING continues to reign as one of the most popular shows around the world. And it will continue its rule at Mandalay Bay when the Disney Theatrical Production opens May 15.

This sit-down production will join seven other companies around the world in New York, London, Paris as well as Hamburg, Germany, Tokyo and Fukuoka, Japan and the North American National Tour.

Now in its 12th year on Broadway, Schumacher said, “The Las Vegas production will be every bit the equal of the spectacular Broadway experience. From the stunning procession of animals that fills the aisles during ‘Circle of Life’ to the show’s climatic battle, all of the magic of the original vision will be realized onstage at Mandalay Bay.” Mandalay Bay Vice President of Marketing Scott Voeller, agreed that Mandalay Bay is the perfect place to continue the Broadway tradition, especially after the successful nearly six-year run of MAMMA MIA!
